Hi! I’m Philip Galberth and I’m running to be the next Ward 8 representative on the Minneapolis city council.
I have spent most of my life as a south Minneapolis resident. Graduated from Washburn in the 90s and have owned my current home in the Regina neighborhood for 12 years.
I am running as an independent without party or donor backing. I want the residents of Ward 8 to be my only boss. Many elected officials must walk the party line or support plans that help big donors instead of doing what is right for their voters. My plan is also to only serve one term to avoid the complacency that most people in elected office seem to develop.
